South Korea

Our Korean adventure started in August 2010. We worked for EPIK (A Korean Government funded programme) as Native English Teachers and loved our time there. In all we lived in a small town called Hwacheon, which is approximately 9km from North Korea for two years. It was surrounded by mountains, rivers and a huge lake. It’s an incredibly picturesque place and despite the location – was much safer than it sounds. The military element certainly made things a bit more exciting though, that’s for sure.
